There are two ways of upgrading from Release 5.X to 5.Y. Please go through detailed procedure given below:
Important Notes:
Ensure that you have valid Tally.Net subscription to upgrade to next release
Ensure that you have connected to Internet
Ensure that you have taken data Backup before proceed for upgrade
Option -1 – Upgrading from Tally.ERP 9 installation folder:
1. Go to Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0 installation folder and execute Setup.EXE in administrator mode:
2. Here click on Upgrade as shown below:
3. When you click on Upgrade, request will be sent to BSS Server and shows latest available release. Now click on Install to upgrade:
4. During this time, required components based on system architecture (32/64 Bit) will be downloaded:
5. Once after successful upgradation shows message as below:
Option- 2– Upgrading from Product
1. Executie Tally.ERP 9 in administrator mode:
2. From Gateway of Tally press F12 > Here go to Product & Features > Here keep cursor on “Tally.ERP 9 Series A Release 5.1.0 > Now click on F6: Update
3. Based on below confirmation, Tally will communicate to BSS Server and upgrade it to Release 5.1
4. Tally will restart automatically with latest release once after successful up-gradation:
Note: Similar process need to be followed in all the client systems in Multi-user environment to upgrade to latest Release.
